The Shimadzu Heritage
800 years have passed since the Shimadzu family came to Kagoshima. This long history reveals to us something unbounded by time. We will faithfully protect and bring to life the spirit of the "Shimadzu Heritage", and we firmly believe that presenting this history to everyone is a part of the important job of connecting the past to ourselves and to future generations. As a part of our efforts, we officially adopted the name "Shimadzu", and unified our design.
Hereafter, Shimadzu will continue to undertake endeavors that are both based on tradition and moving toward the future.
